In Spain, on the night of the 23 of June we celebrate San Juan (it is officially the 24). It’s the Spanish version of the British bonfire night just that Guy Forks has nothing to do with this day. It’s an important festival where I live, Alicante, but I originally started in Cataluña, Barcelona. It consists of spending the night on the beach burning old wooden things for good luck. Many people have it down as the first day of summer. Sadly it wasn’t as warm as it should have been (although the thousands of little bonfires kind of warmed the beach up)

En España, la noche del 23 de Junio celebramos San Juan (aunque oficialmente es el 24). Es como una versión española del británico “bonfire night”, solo que no tiene que ver en absoluto con Guy Forks. Es un festivo bastante importante por donde vivo, Alicante, pero originalmente empezó en Cataluña, Barcelona. Consiste en pasar la noche en la playa quemando viejas cosas de madera para atraer la buena suerte. Mucha gente lo considera el primer día de verano. Pero por desgracia no hacia el calor que esperábamos (aunque gracias a las tropecientas hogueras que había, calentó bastante la playa).
¡Ah, pude solucionar el problema que tenia con la escuela! ¡Así que os tengo preparado una pequeña sorpresa para la próxima semana! ¡Estar atentos!
